1. Hideo is sort of a nice person but he is strict. Hideo is one of those characters that cares about his family and other people. like when yasuo died he was wondering how many people had died and he was thinking about how they were good friends even though they were not the brightest guys.
2. If i only could bring ten items I would bring a 5 cans of soup because canned soup doesn't even need to be cooked. I would bring a cd player for entertainment, a bottle of water to drink. I would last bring 3 pictures of my family because I would want to remember them.
3. The most shocking part of the book to me is when Hideo's friends got killed when they were attacked at the factory. I would hate that to happen to me because I would not like to have to start over and find new friends. I also would not like that to happen to me becuase Without my friends I would have almost no one to talk to.

1. I don't think that Hideyo is strict. I agree with you when you say that he cares for his family and people other than his family.
2. I think you made a good choice on things that you are going to bring with you. But do you really need a CD player?? I think you could bring something a little more needed than wanted.
3. I think that it was sad also that one of his friends got killed and even the fact that he had to use his friends blood just to keep himself alive. I don't think it is really the fact of making new friends because you can make new friends anytime, but the fact that he lost a friend.
(1.) I disagre, I don't think hidayo is strict. I do think he cares for everyone but mostly for his family.

1. I agree with you I think that he is a careing person to his family. I also think that he is brave to be able to sit there and wach his friends get killed and not even squirm.
2. I think that it is a good idea to bring something that you don't have to cook to eat. I also think that it is a good idea to bring a CD player to intertain you.

I think you made a good choice about the cans of soup because you don't have to cook them and if you were in a situation like yoko and ko you are not gone have anywhere to cook your food but even do i agree with you in that I think i would bring more them one bottle of water.
