The purpose of this project was to learn about the Aztecs and their culture. How we did this was we had to read about the Aztecs culture and make a PowerPoint on it. We also had to pick groups and study a certain aspect of the Aztec life. Then make a mural about it and by doing so sharing some of the Aztecs symbols that the Aztecs used and to show our knowledge. one of the subjects was the gods and tat was the topic we did our mural on.

During this project I learned about how the Aztecs lived. like they had 6 different social classes. like the emperor which is the leader, and the slaves which are the lowest. We also learned about how they punished people for crimes. Like if you stole something, then you would only be that persons slave until you paid him/her back, but if you kept stealing you would die. we also learned that the priests had at least 10 sacrifices in one day to please the sun gods.

I enjoyed this project because i got to learn about an ancient civilization that I thought was interesting. I also liked this project because I had partners that actually worked hard and i got to paint. One thing I feel I could have done better on was helping correct the artist statement because I couldn't really spot a lot of problems that were obvious. I also think I could have stayed focused a little bit better because some of the time i was goofing off and messing with the paint. If I were to do this Project again I would change the topic of the mural so it wouldn't take as long as it took us to finish. I also would change my group members because I would like to see how I work with some other people.
