from perspective of Atticus
I coming back from work when I heard an almost inaudible sound, it was a siren. When i got to the sheriff he told me that there was a mad dog and that Maycomb was in peril. I saw the dog, and the sheriff started to take aim but he was taking too long. I interrupted I'm to tell him to hurry up, this must have annoyed him pretty bad so he handed me the gun. I hadn't shot in years, i was always cantankerous about it. I shot, it hit right above the left eye and the dog never knew what hit him. I wasn't proud of what i did, but Scout was amazed. She would have told all her contemporaries if ms.Maudie hadn't sopped her. Then the kids started meeting me halfway home from work. Mrs. Dubose gave them such a hard time, but I told Jem to be a gentleman and that it would be wise not to contradict her. One day her comments got so bad Jem just snapped and destroyed her yard. As a consequence i made him read to her for a month, even if he didn't destroy her yard. Two months Later Mrs. Dubose died, and left Jem a little present.

I like how you showed how Atticus feels and that he is an important character. I like how you used the vocabulary words. I would have never of thought to use them that way. I liked how you caught the thought of Atticus.
